Maine Day Two

Today was our second day in Maine. We began the day in Ellsworth and headed to Bar Harbor. In Bar Harbor we walked out on a pier and took in the beautiful sight of the ocean and the boats. We took some time and walked around in downtown Bar Harbor and visited several shops. After leaving Bar Harbor we went back to the mainland and ate lunch at a lobster pound! After lunch we headed to Acadia National Park and were there for several hours. We drove around most of the park and saw some breathtaking sights. Our favorite was Cadillac Mountain, it was the highest mountain on the island and we could see so much and it was beautiful! It was amazing to stand on a mountain and look out and as far as you could see there was the ocean. It was so beautiful! Another favorite stop was Sand Beach where we just watched the waves come in and just appreciated God's amazing creation! We also visited a lighthouse in Bass Harbor which was beautiful! After leaving the park we drove around the coast in several small coastal towns which are so quaint! We had dinner in Belfast at a restaurant on the harbor. John David enjoyed another lobster tonight! I tried clam chowder for the first time and it was amazing and we saved a little room for wild blueberry cobbler!! We had a big day full of beautiful sights and made many memories!

To say the least we are a little tired so we are laying in our bed at the Comfort Inn in Belfast, the room has an ocean view, I can't wait to see it in the morning (it was already dark when we got here!)
