Well, day three got off to a bit of a rocky start...John David was up half the night sick. We believe his sickness was due to the shellfish he had along with his lobster! We have learned an important lesson though, no more shellfish for John David! Since he was so sick we didn't leave our hotel until 10:30. Luckily after getting up and eating breakfast he was feeling a lot better and was well enough to drive.
The view from our hotel room
We took it easy heading back to Manchester. We took the scenic route and went through charming towns. We stopped at Wells Beach in south Maine and were amazed by the big beautiful waves there. It was so loud and they just kept coming!
The waves were just beautiful...I took so many pictures..these are just a few of my favorites.
This is what I did...RIDE!!
This is what he did...DRIVE!!
Sunday evening we got back to Manchester, ate dinner and got a hotel room. We woke up at 4 a.m. to catch our 6 a.m. flight to Detroit and then on to Nashville. We were back home by lunch time though...air travel is amazingly fast!
We really enjoyed our vacation and the beautiful views of the United States we were able to see.
